One person was killed and another was injured when a sedan and a Mack truck collided in Bibbs County, Georgia Wednesday morning.

About the Bibb County Accident

According to The Telegraph, Donna Hyatt, 71, died at the scene of the accident when a 1984 Mack truck flipped over and crushed part of Hyatt’s 2002 Nissan Altima.

Eye-witness accounts report that Hyatt’s car was traveling south in the right lane when it turned into the Mack trucks path.

The H&S truck, carrying gravel, was reported to be in the left lane when the car came up on the right side seemingly with the intent to pass the truck, but the sedan moved into the path of the truck instead.

Both of the vehicles swerved into northbound lanes at the corner of Allen road. When the truck flipped, gravel was dumped onto the roadway and the Nissan Altima.

The truck driver, Terry Howard, 55, was walking around after the accident but was later taken to a hospital. His condition is not known at this time.

Donna Hyatt had a passenger in her sedan, Ann McCallum, 69. She was taken to the hospital with a broken shoulder.
