According to the Denton Record-Chronicle, an unidentified 16-year-old girl was killed when her Ford Contour was struck by an oncoming Ford three-quarter ton pickup along FM 156 in Denton County around 5:30 p.m.

The teenager’s passenger, also 16, was rushed to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth where she is being treated for serious injuries. The driver of the Ford pickup is also in serious condition.
