About the Corpus Christi Accident

KRIS TV reports that around 3 am, a car ran into the back of the tractor-trailer on Northbound Crosstown by Horne. On impact the car spun out into the middle of Crosstown.

The owner of the car is reported to be 22-years-old and appears to have tried to exit his vehicle but was struck by an on-coming pickup truck that was unable to avoid the accident.  The man of the car is in critical condition.

Kiii News reports that investigators had the northbound lanes of the Crosstown Expressway shut down for about three hours from Horne to Gollihar roads.

The drivers of the pickup and the tractor trailer were not injured in the accident.  It is still unclear what the cause of the accident was, but alcohol is not suspected to be a part of the wreck at this time.
