One person was killed in a bicycle accident in Seattle.

Details about the Fatal Seattle Bike Accident

QFOX 13 News is reporting that detectives from the Seattle Police Department are currently investigating a fatal bicycle accident that happened on Saturday evening.

According to the Seattle police department, both a man and a woman were riding one bicycle in the area of the International District on Saturday evening near the intersection of 5th Avenue South and South Main Street.

At about 10:40 p.m., the bicycle crashed into the side of a Metro bus. When Seattle police officers arrived at the scene of the accident, they found an unconscious male who was suffering from life-threatening injuries, and an adult female who was conscious but suffering from serious injuries.

Both of the victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center, where the man later died. The driver of the Metro bus was not found to have been impaired in any way during the accident.

The accident remains under investigation at this time, and the identity of the man who died has not been released pending notification of family.
