One Killed, Another Injured in New Braunfels Motorcycle Crash

One person has died and another person has been critically injured in a motorcycle accident in New Braunfels on Saturday night.

Details about the Motorcycle Accident in New Braunfels

KVUE News is reporting that one man has died and a woman is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident on Interstate 35 in New Braunfels on Saturday night, according to a press release.

The two victims were riding on a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle and were traveling south near the 600 block of Interstate 35 North when the driver of the motorcycle hit a curb and went into the grassy median between Interstate 35 and Business 35 at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 47-year-old male from New Braunfels was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and the woman, a 48-year-old, was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in San Antonio. As of Sunday morning, the woman was listed in critical but stable condition.

The speed of the motorcycle caused both the driver and the passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The names of the victims have not been released. No one else was injured in the accident.
