One Killed – Eight Hospitalized after Los Angeles Accident

One person was killed and eight others were injured in an accident that happened in Los Angeles.

Details about the Fatal Accident in Los Angeles

Multiple sources are reporting that a 37-year-old man was killed and eight people – including four children – were injured in an accident that happened on Sunday involving an SUV which was fleeing from a previous crash. The van proceeded to run a red light and collid with a minivan.

According to Los Angeles Police, the minivan flipped and landed upside-down and was badly crushed and multiple people inside the minivan were ejected from the vehicle. Four children – three siblings and a family friend – were all in the van, along with three adults. The ages of the children range from age four to age twelve. One of the adults in the van at the time of the accident was killed.

One woman and one man were in the Toyota 4Runner SUV at the time of the accident. The people in that vehicle were speeding away from the scene of another accident when the collision happened at about 11:40 a.m., according to Los Angeles Police.

Some of the victims in the accident were taken to the hospital via helicopter and others via ambulance. The man in the minivan who died was declared dead at the hospital.
