One person was killed and eight others were injured in a rollover accident.

Details about the Fatal Rollover

Multiple sources are reporting that one person was killed and eight others were injured in a single-vehicle accident that happened early Sunday morning along Interstate 30 in Bowie County, Texas, according to a spokesman from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The spokesman further stated that the vehicle was heading east along Interstate 30 when the driver of the vehicle was attempting to pass a vehicle on the left, but went too far, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.

The driver then over-corrected and rolled the vehicle once, killing one of the passengers and injuring the others. Everyone in the vehicle except the one who was killed was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Those who were injured were taken to local hospitals. The driver of the vehicle at the time of the accident did not have a license, and authorities are currently investigating the name he provided them.
