One person was killed in a crane accident that happened at a construction site in Walker County.

Details about the Fatal Construction Accident

 ABC 3340 News is reporting that a fatal accident happened at a bridge construction site in Walker County near the Gorgas Steam Plant.

Sheriff’s deputies from Walker County have stated that they responded to the scene of the accident at the construction site along the 1300 block of Highway 269 in Parrish at about 8:15 a.m. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered that a crane had overturned and injured one victim. The coroner’s office was then called at to the scene of the accident where the pronounced the victim deceased.

The coroner further stated that the operator of the crane jumped out of the vehicle when the crane started shifting but that the crane landed on top of the worker.
