One Killed, Two Injured in Austin Crash

A fatal car crash in northwest Austin left one woman dead and injured two children when they collided with a pickup truck.

Information on the Fatal Austin Accident

News 92 FM reports that a man, a woman, and two children were in a Dodge Neon when they collided with a Chevrolet truck occupied by only one man. The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. on Sunday.

The emergency personnel who arrived on scene reported that an off-duty nurse attempted to perform CPR on the woman from the Dodge Neon, but she was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

Both of the drivers refused treatment at the scene. The children were hospitalized with possible critical injuries.

According to KVUE TV, the Dodge Neon ran a red light and was hit by the oncoming Chevrolet truck.  This report also includes that the name of the woman pronounced dead was Diana Marie Juarez, 31.

The police have not filed any charges at this time.
