One man was killed in an accident that happened in Genesee County.

Details about the Fatal Accident

WGRZ News is reporting that a man from Genesee County was killed in an accident that happened after a two-vehicle accident in Newstead. According to local police, the accident happened just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Route 5 and Barnum Road.

According to sheriff’s deputies from Erie County, three people in one vehicle, including a child, were sent to the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital to be treated for their non-life threatening injuries they sustained in the accident.

The driver of the second vehicle, 32-year-old Charles Reno, of Basom, was also taken to the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

According to police, there is still no word on what caused the accident, but authorities are still investigating.
