One Pedestrian Injured, Another Killed in San Antonio Accident

No charges will be filed against a driver who hit two men and killed one.

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

KSAT 12 News San Antonio is reporting that a woman who hit two men on a northeast side street, resulting in the death of one, will not be facing any charges, according to San Antonio Police.

Police further stated that the driver was not at fault in the accident because the men crossed the street at a red light. Police officers at the scene of the accident indicated that one of the men was pushing the other in a wheelchair near the intersection of Walzem Road and Bentley Road just after 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening when they were hit by a vehicle.

The impact of the vehicle sent bother of the men about 30 feet, according to police.

The 61-year-old man who was pushing the other man in the wheelchair suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

According to police, the man in the wheelchair is in his 50’s and was not seriously injured in the accident.

Police further stated that the driver told them that she did not see the men crossing the street until it was too late.
