One Pedestrian Killed, Another Injured in Accident

One person was killed and another was injured in an auto-pedestrian accident in Fort Bend County.

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

KHOU News is reporting that deputies and State Troopers are currently investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that happened in Fort Bend County on Sunday evening.

According to the Texas Department of public Safety, the accident happened at about 7:15 p.m. on West Airport Boulevard between Advenir in the Woodbridge Reserve Apartments and a Kroger grocery store just east of Highway 6.

There were two people who were walking across Airport Boulevard when they were hit by a vehicle. One of the pedestrians was killed at the scene of the accident, and the other taken with head injuries to a local hospital.

The Department of Public Safety has said that they do not believe the woman driving the vehicle at the time of the accident was intoxicated. The woman was also not injured in the accident.

The pedestrians were walking in an area of the street without a crosswalk.

The identity of the person who was killed has not been released until family members have been notified.
