One person was killed in an accident with a dump truck that happened in Gainesville.

Details about the Fatal Dump Truck Accident

Fox 5 DC News is reporting that police in Prince William County have stated that the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a serious accident with a dump truck in Gainesville has died on Wednesday.

According to Prince William County Police, when officers were called and arrived at the scene of the accident, they found that the sedan was completely engulfed in flames, which had to be put out by firefighters. The driver that was inside the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the dump truck also suffered minor injuries. An investigation into the cause and circumstances of the accident remains ongoing at this time. Police have stated that all lanes on Lee Highway and Lake Manassas Drive have since reopened.
