One Person Killed in Walker County Vehicle Fire

The Huntsville Item has reported that an unidentified person was killed in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday morning.

Details about the Single Car Automobile Accident

According to the Huntsville Item, the unidentified person was killed Wednesday morning in the northern portion of Walker County.

Trooper Keith Fitzpatrick of the Texas Department of Public Safety said that around 4 a.m. Wednesday, the vehicle was travelling on Highway 75 headed north near Bishop Road when the vehicle left the road for unknown reasons before striking a tree and catching fire.

Fitzpatrick said that there was only one person in the car, and when officers arrived at the scene, the vehicle was already completely engulfed in flames.

The body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Montgomery County and has yet to be identified. At this time, the cause of the fire in the accident is unknown, but the incident is still under investigation.
