Parkers Farm Issues Recall – Listeria Concerns
Parkers Farm has issued a recall for multiple cheese and salsa products due to Listeria contamination concerns.
This is the second Listeria related recall issued by the company in under three months.
About the Cheese and Salsa Recall
According to a Fox affiliate in Minnesota, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture is warning consumers of potential Listeria contamination in certain edible products produced by Parkers Farm.
Regulators are urging anyone who has purchased the recalled products to return the food to the place of purchase immediately.
People who have consumed the recalled products should be on the lookout for symptoms related to Listeria infection and are urged to contact a healthcare professional should symptoms arise.
Description of the Recalled Products
The following Parkers Farm products are included in the recall:
- 8 ounce Parkers cold pack cheese in round plastic containers, with the sell date of 5/21/15.
- 14 ounce Parkers cold pack cheese in round plastic containers, with the sell date of 5/21/15.
- 16 ounce Parkers salsas in round plastic containers, including garlic, hot, mild, and fire-roasted varieties, with the sell date of 9/19/14.
- 10 pound foodservice products. This includes cold pack cheese and cheese spreads with the sell date of 2/17/15.
