According to KHOU, at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, a man was killed after he was ejected from a Toyota car in a car accident on the feeder road near the Grand Parkway intersection in Spring, Texas.

Overview of The Accident

At the time of the accident, the Toyota car was heading south at high speeds while two young males were in the car. As the driver came to the Grand Parkway intersection, there was a Chevrolet Tahoe with a female driver starting to cross the intersection after the light turned green.

The male driver in the Toyota tried to go around Tahoe and veered to the right, not realizing there was a curb at the intersection on that side. The Toyota struck the curb, and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then came in contact with a metal light pole, splitting the vehicle in half.

The passenger was ejected from the car and died at the scene of the accident while the driver was taken to Woodlands Hospital and was found to be intoxicated. The female in the Tahoe was not injured.

The driver of the Toyota is facing an intoxication manslaughter charge.
