A suspect hijacked a bus and then hit and killed a pedestrian in Washington D.C.

Details about the Bus/Pedestrian Accident

ABC News is reporting that a suspect hijacked a Washington D.C. bus on Wednesday morning and then hit and killed a pedestrian, according to the Washington D.C. police department.

The police department further stated that the suspect got on the metro bus at about 10:30 a.m., and, one stop later, he then attacked the bus driver.

The driver and the passengers on the bus at the time of the hijacking fled the scene, but then the suspect pulled out a weapon and shut the door to the bus and drove away. In the parking lot of a gas station, the suspect drove over a curb and then hit and killed a pedestrian.

At this time, the suspect is in custody. The Metro Transit Police stated that the operator of the bus suffered non life-threatening injuries in the accident.
