Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

WTOC News is reporting that the Columbus Police Department is currently conducting their investigation at the scene of the accident where a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Sunday evening.

Captain William Turner of the Columbus Police Department has stated that a man was transported to the hospital in serious condition after he was hit by a vehicle at around 9 p.m. on Sunday evening on Buena Vista Road. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police received phone calls about a man walking in the roadway before the accident. At this time, it is not clear whether or not the man was walking in the roadway at the time of the accident. There is no suspicion of the driver of the vehicle being intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The victim of the accident has been identified as 60-year-old James E. Blue.
