A woman was hit by a car while walking her dogs overnight on Monday.

KSAT 12 News is reporting that a woman was walking her dogs when she was hit by a vehicleon Sunday evening, according to the San Antonio police.

San Antonio police have further stated that the accident was reported just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, and that the accident happened along Culebra Road, not far from the Reed Road intersection on the west side of the city. Police from San Antonio have indicated that the woman was crossing the street at a point in the road where there was no crosswalk when she was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

The woman was transported to University Hospital to be treated for her injuries sustained in the accident. None of her dogs were hurt in the accident. At this time, police do not believe the driver will be charged due to the accident.
