A woman from Marshall was killed in a pedestrian accident in South Texas.

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

News West 9 is reporting that an accident happened in East Texas in which a woman has been identified as a victim in the fatal pedestrian accident that happened in Bee County.

The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Patricia Price, of Marshall. Price was killed early Wednesday along Texas Highway 181 near Skidmore, which is just about 45 miles north of the city of Corpus Christi.

Officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety have stated that Price was hit at about 12:04 a.m. by a gray 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was in the northbound lanes of the roadway. Price’s 2004 Jeep Wrangler was disabled on the side of the highway, where she pulled over. For unknown reasons, Price walked out onto the roadway, where she was hit by the truck, according to an early investigation.

The driver of the truck did stop to render aid, but Price was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. None of the passengers in the truck were injured in the accident.
