San Antonio authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on the city’s North Side.

The San Antonio Express-News reports that a Texas man, 48-year-old Frankie Gonzalez, was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle.

Mr. Gonzalez was walking in the street around 6 am when he was hit by an unidentified car. The man was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services but died from his injuries later that day.

The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
