Philadelphia Woman Stuck and Killed by Amphibious Vehicle

According to Reuters, a Philadelphia “Ride the Ducks” vehicle struck an unidentified 60-year-old woman on Friday, killing her.

Details of the Philadelphia Pedestrian Accident

The woman was struck by the amphibious sightseeing vehicle around 5:25 p.m. in the Chinatown neighborhood of Philadelphia.

There have been no criminal charges and no charges are expected to be filed against the driver.

 In 2010, two tourists were killed by another Ride the Ducks vehicle when it was struck by a tug boat and barge.

  • 4,062 accidents occurred in 2013, resulting 560 deaths.
