According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Polaris of Medina, Minnesota, is recalling 2013 Polaris Ranger 400 recreational off-highway vehicles due to a crash hazard.

Details of the Polaris Recall

  • This recall involves 2013 Polaris Ranger 400 recreational off-highway vehicles.
  • The recreational vehicle’s throttle may not operate properly.
  • This could cause drivers to lose control, instigating a crash.
  • Polaris strongly encourages consumers to stop using Polaris Ranger vehicles and contact Polaris to receive a free repair.

327 Units Involved in Recall

  • Vehicles with model number R13RH45AG and VIN numbers between 4XARH45A3D4726305 and 4XARH45A7DE648444 are involved in the recall.
  • Not every VIN number in this range is included in the recall.
  • The vehicles are green and gray in color.
  • 327 units were sold at Polaris dealers nationwide from July 2012 through September 2012 for about $8,300.
