Police Officer Injured in DUI Accident

 A police officer was killed in an accident that happened in New Orleans over the weekend.

Details about the Officer-Involved Accident

Multiple sources are reporting that a police officer suffered a massive brain injury after she was hit by a drunk driver early on Sunday morning, according to the city’s police chief.

The superintendent also stated that the officer was inside her vehicle on the side of the road with her emergency lights on when she was hit by the drunk driver. Natasha Hunter is a 12-year veteran of the police force.

After the accident, Officer Hunter was transported to the hospital, where she remains unresponsive and in critical condition at this time. The driver of the vehicle that hit the officer – who was responding to an another crash at the time of the accident – admitted to police that he had been driving drunk and was arrested after he was released from the hospital.
