Police Searching for Garbage Truck after Fatal Hit-and-Run

Police in Prince George’s County are looking for a garbage truck that is said to have been involved in a fatal hit and run Tuesday morning.

Details about the Fatal Hit-and-Run in Prince George’s County

As originally reported in The Washington Post, one person died on Tuesday after a hit-and-run crash happened on the Capital Beltway in Prince George’s County.

According to the authorities, the crash happened on the Beltway’s inner loop near the south bound exit for Route 4. After the accident, the road was closed due to an investigation. The victim’s identity was not released by the authorities.

At the time of the accident, there was also no description of the vehicle that hit the victim, but it was later revealed that the police in Prince George’s County were looking for a green or blue garbage truck that they believe was involved in the accident.

The police from Prince George County tweeted on its official account saying that the garbage truck has red lettering on it and “fresh damage to the passenger side.”

The victim’s identity remains unknown, and authorities have not released any further details regarding the accident.
