KSAT has reported that the man killed in a recent motorcycle/bus accident has been identified as Carlos Cepeda, 37.

Mr. Cepeda died Saturday night after being run over by a San Antonio VIA bus traveling north on De Soto. Police say the area is common for motorcycle accidents.

Details of the San Antonio Motorcyle/Bus Accident

Mr. Cepeda was traveling on West Theo when his motorcycle laid down and he was rolled under a VIA Bus. VIA stated they were conducting a post-accident investigation and reported that there were no passengers on the bus at the time and the driver was not hurt. Police Sergeant Roberto Reyes stated that with no witnesses, they are relying on the evidence.

Benefit Held for Motorcyclist

“People don’t realize that we are out there on the road, riding. They take it for granted, don’t look both ways, and this is what happens.” – Larry Flores, President of local San Antonio motorcycle club

A benefit was held for Mr. Cepeda to raise money for his family in hopes it could provide a bit of financial relief in the wake of the accident. Mr. Cepeda reportedly leaves behind three children.
