Porsche Sports Cars Recalled Due to Fire Risk

Allison Denton3 years ago

According to the Los Angeles Times, Porsche has recently issued a voluntary recall of the new 911 GT3 sports car model due to a fire risk.

About the Porsche 911 GT3 Recall

The cause of the engine damage has not yet been determined, but Porsche has agreed to inspect all 785 vehicles sold to customers worldwide since the beginning of 2014.

This decision was made after two vehicles caught fire due to engine damage. No drivers or passengers have been hurt thus far; however, Porsche recommends that owners stop driving their vehicles immediately until the issue is resolved.

The 911 GT3 is one of the fastest and most powerful models that Porsche makes, starting at around $131,000.
