Diabetes Medications

What is Diabetes?

The term diabetes describes a group of metabolic diseases in which a person has high blood sugar levels due to an inadequate production of insulin in their body. Another cause of diabetes is that the person’s cells do not respond properly to insulin. People who have diabetes typically experience frequent urination as well as increasing hunger and thirst.
People with diabetes may be able to go on with their lives just by monitoring their sugar intake, but some people may have to take medications – either oral medications or insulin injections.
