Reeves County Accident Claims Two Lives

In Reeves County, TX on U.S. Highway 285, there was a car accident that claimed the lives of two people and injured two more.

Description of the Reeves County Accident

According to News West 9, around 11:45 pm Monday night a 2014 Ford F-250 was going northbound on US highway 285. The driver of the F-250 was traveling behind the car in front of him when both vehicles crossed into the southbound lane.

The GMC Sierra was in the southbound lane; the car in front of the Ford F-250 crossed back into the northbound lane but the Ford F-250 was not able too. Both the driver swerved off the road into a ditch in an attempt to avoid each other – the cars still collided in the ditch.

2 Dead, 2 Injured

The driver of the Ford F-250 was uninjured; he was identified as 36-year-old John Gregg Mueller of Burleson, TX. 

Unfortunately, the driver and one of the passengers of the GMC Sierra, Javier Mayagoitia and Javier Garcia, both 24 from El Paso, were killed in the collision.

The two other passengers in the truck were sent to local area hospitals. Osman Martinez, 18, was listed in serious condition and Hugo Martinez, 23, was listed in stable condition.
