Roseville Accident Kills One, Sends Child to the Hospital

One person was killed in a child was injured in an accident that shut down roads in Roseville.

FOX 40 News is reporting that a fatal accident that happened in Roseville shut down all lanes of Blue Oaks Boulevard between Foothills Boulevard and Washington Boulevard.

According to police and investigators, one person – a woman – was killed in a two-vehicle accident that happened at about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.

Investigators working on the accident said that a woman was driving a Ford Mustang heading east on Blue Oaks Boulevard when she made a U-turn in front of a Ford pickup truck that was heading west. The Mustang was hit by the pickup truck.

The driver in the Mustang, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There were four people inside the pickup truck at the time of the accident. One of the passengers in the pickup, an 8-year-old child, was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center.

Police officers from the Roseville police department remained on the scene to investigate the incident.
