Sacramento Woman Severely Injured by Transit Bus

Authorities in Sacramento have confirmed that a woman was hit by a transit bus in the downtown area of Sacramento.

Details about the Bus Accident in Sacramento

CBS Local in Sacramento is reporting that the authorities have responded to the scene of an accident involving a transit bus in the downtown area.

The accident happened near the intersection of 5th and N Streets. According to the Sacramento Fire Department, a woman was crossing the street when she was hit by the transit bus. The woman was pinned under the bus for some times, but she has since been rescued.

After the woman was rescued from under the bus, she was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center in serious condition, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.

The Sacramento Police have confirmed that an El Dorado Transit bus was the vehicle that was involved in the accident. The bus driver that was operating the vehicle at the time of the accident is currently being interviewed by the police department.

Roads in the area were closed due to the accident, but they have since been reopened.
