A San Antonio driver was killed when he collided with a light pole.

Details about the Fatal San Antonio Accident

KSAT 12 News is reporting that a man from San Antonio was killed when he crashed his vehicle into a light pole on the west side of the city.

The accident reportedly happened at about 2:40 a.m. on Saturday morning, along Highway 90 at West Military Drive. According to police, the driver was heading east on the highway when he veered off the road and hit a street lamp that was in the center median. As a result of the impact, the man suffered massive blunt force trauma to the head and he was killed on impact.

The truck then continued to roll back into the main lanes of the highway, and finally stopped when it a guardrail that was about 1,000 feet from where the truck originally collided with the light pole.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident remains ongoing at this time.
