A woman was hit and killed by a car while she was attempting to cross the street in San Antonio.

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

According to KSAT 12 News in San Antonio is reporting that a woman was hit and killed by a white sedan while attempting to cross a northwest side street on Tuesday morning, according to San Antonio police.

The accident reportedly happened just before 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bandera Road and Eckhert Road. Police have said that the woman was crossing at a point in the street where there was no crosswalk at the time of the accident. The driver of the vehicle stopped after the accident and told police he did not see the woman.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Witnesses say that there was no way for the driver to have avoided the woman.

Police have indicated that the driver of the vehicle will not be charged.
