One person was killed in a pedestrian accident that happened in San Francisco.

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

ABC News 7 is reporting that both the San Francisco police and fire departments responded to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian near St. Mary’s Cathedral.

According to San Francisco authorities, the collision happened near the intersection of Franklin Street and Geary Boulevard, and was reported to police at about 10:48 a.m. on Thursday.

Police have further stated that after the vehicle hit the pedestrian and authorities responded to the scene of the accident, some lanes on the roadways were closed so police and other emergency crews were able to work the scene. Public transportation vehicles were also being rerouted in the area.

The San Francisco medical examiner’s office also responded to the scene of the accident, which currently remains under investigation at this time.
