Saturday Motorcycle Accident Kills One, Injures Another

A man from Alpena was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened on Saturday in Presque Isle County.

Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Alpena News is reporting that one person was killed and another was injured in an accident involving two motorcycles on Saturday in Presque County, according to the Presque Isle County Sheriff Robert Paschke.

According to police, 46-year-old Paul David Aiken, of Alpena, was killed just after the accident. Another victim, who has not yet been identified, suffered minor injuries and was sent to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.

A press release from the police department stated that Aiken lost control of the motorcycle on Black mountain Highway near County Line Road on a sharp turn. Aiken crossed the center line of the roadway and stuck another motorcycle that was heading in the opposite direction. After the collision, Aiken continued out of control before coming to a rest in a wooded area.

Police have stated that Aiken was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead after he arrived at the hospital.
