Seven students were injured in a Houston Independent School District Bus Accident.

Details about the Bus Accident

ABC 13 News is reporting that a school bus accident in Southeast Houston left everyone a little shaken up this morning, and sent seven students from the Houston Independent School District to the hospital. There were a total of nine students on the bus at the time of the accident.

Alexander Jimenez has been identified as the driver of the vehicle that collided with the bus.

At the scene of the accident, Jimenez stated that he was in shock that he was involved in the accident that happened on Galveston Road and Park Place. Jimenez indicated that he was traveling south down Galveston Road and had a green light. The bus then turned west on Park Place and crossed in front of Jimenez. After the bus had crossed Jimenez, the tail end of the bus was still in the cross road and had not cleared the intersection.

None of the students who were sent to the hospital after the accident were suffering from serious injuries.

Jimenez was driving without a license and without insurance and was issued a citation. Jimenez still argues that the accident was not his fault.
