Seven Killed in Arizona Trucking Accident
Seven people are dead after being struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 10 near Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday (July 29, 2012).
Tractor-Trailer Crossed Median, Struck Van
According to CNN News and several other media outlets, a tractor-trailer was traveling West on I-10 about 40 miles south of Phoenix when it crossed the median and struck a van travelling the opposite direction. All seven of the van’s occupants died in the collision.
The truck driver and his wife were both airlifted to a local hospital and are said to be in serious condition. The trucking accident remains under investigation.
