A pedestrian was hit and killed in Sherman, Texas on Sunday night.

Details about the Pedestrian Accident

KXII News is reporting that a man was hit and killed on Sunday night at around 9:30 p.m. in Sherman.

According to Sergeant D.M. Hampton of the Sherman Police, the authorities did find a pedestrian that had been hit by a vehicle in the area of FM 1417 by a truck that was heading south at the time of the collision.

The victim, who has been identified as 48-year-old Scott Harrison, was crossing FM 1417 when he was hit by the truck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

A man who lives in the area says people do a lot of speeding through the area where the accident happened.

According to police, the driver of the truck that hit the pedestrian, a 58-year-old man from Sherman, did stop and wait for the police to arrive at the scene of the accident.

Sergeant Hampton clarified that there wouldn’t be any charges filed against the driver of the truck that hit the pedestrian. The body of the pedestrian was sent to Dallas for an autopsy.

The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
