Six Injured in Possible Drunk Driving Accident

ABC 6 News is reporting that police in Philadelphia are working to determine whether or not a drunk driver caused a two-vehicle accident that sent six people to the hospital.

Details about the Suspected DUI Accident

The accident in question happened at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning at Wyoming Avenue near Old York Road in the Logan area of the city.

According to investigators, a Chevrolet carrying four men was heading west when it veered into an Acura that was heading south at the time of the accident. The collision sent the Acura into a light pole and a retention wall.

Firefighters and other emergency crews had to pry open theAcura to free the man and woman who were trapped inside the wreckage.

Police indicate that all six people involved in the two-vehicle accident were sent to the Einstein Medical Center in stable condition. 

At this point, police have not filed any charges, but Philadelphia police are investigating whether or not alcohol was involved in the accident.
