Six People Injured in Travis County Accident

Four children were among the six people injured in a two-vehicle accident outside of Austin, Texas late Saturday morning.

About the Travis County Collision

According to the Austin American-Statesman, the crash occurred on FM 973 near Texas 130 around 11:55 am.

Emergency crews and two STARFlight helicopters were dispatched to the site of the accident. One of the children involved was determined to be in critical condition while the other three were listed in serious condition – all were transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Both of the adults involved in the collision were taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.

    • One person was injured every 2 minutes and 16 seconds.
    • A reportable crash occurred every 71 seconds.
