Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

CBS News in Minnesota is reporting that a woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle while she was in a crosswalk on Tuesday afternoon in St. Paul, according to the St. Paul Police Department.

The St. Paul Police Department has further stated that they responded to the scene of the accident at about 4:30 p.m., near the intersection of Cayuga Street and Arkwright Street when the woman was in the crosswalk and had the right of way when she was crossing Cayuga Street. A car was turning left and struck her.

At this time, the driver of the vehicle is fully cooperating with police, and it doesn’t appear that drugs or alcohol are factors in the accident. The cause of the accident remains under investigation at this time.
