Step2 Recalls Wagons Sold at Toys R Us
About the Step2 Wagon Recall
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Step2 initiated the recall following reports that the wagon’s detachable seat backs may inadvertently detach putting children at risk of injury.
So far, the company has received 29 reports of seat backs detaching which have resulted in 28 children following out of the wagon. 14 of these incidents resulting in children bumping their head and nine resulted in lacerations, scratches or bruising.
Description of the Step2 Wagon
- The two seat wagons are 25 inches wide, 41.25 inches long and 20 inches high.
- The wagon has a tan base supporting two blue seats and a red canopty.
- A Step2 logo can be found on the side of the wagon’s base and on either side of the of the canopy.
- The wagons were sold exclusively at Toys R Us store between February 2013 and August 2013 for approximately $130.
