Street Race Ends With Deadly Accident

A teenager is dead and three others are injured Friday night following an incident in which two cars the teens were watching race drove into a group of pedestrians in Austin, Texas.

About the Fatal Accident

According to the Austin American-Statesman, emergency personnel responded to the call at 10:53 pm at the intersection of Wells School Road and Wells Lane. Reports indicated that a 2014 Cadillac and a 2009 BMW 328 were racing when at least one of the cars drove into the group of spectators.

A 15-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene while three others, including the driver of the BMW, were transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
