Subaru Recalls Five Models – Air Bag Problem

Jasjit Mundh2 years ago

According to WFLA News, Subaru has recalled five vehicle models due to an air bag problem.

About the Subaru Recall

Subaru has recalled its cars because the front passenger air bags can rupture, which can cause metal fragments to fly out when the air bags are deployed. This can lead to injuries.

According to Business Insider, Subaru has not found defective airbags in any of the recalled vehicles in the area and no injuries have been reported. Subaru has yet to notify its customers.

Description of Recalled Subarus

  • The recall covers the 2003-2005 Baja, Legacy and Outback, the 2004-2005 Impreza, and the 2005 Saab 9-2X made by Subaru.
  • The recall only affects vehicles in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the U.S. Virgin Islands with air bags made by Takata Corp.
  • There were about 5,000 cars sold.
  • Subaru will notify its customers later.
