A sport utility vehicle collided with a city-owned truck in Rochester, New York during a police chase.

Details about the Collision that happened during the Police Chase

Multiple sources have reported that a sport utility vehicle crashed into a city-owned truck in the City of Rochester on Sunday night.

According to authorities, the police were in pursuit of a man and a woman in a stolen SUV.

Rochester police sergeant Christopher Brown said that the police had tried to pull the vehicle over for a seatbelt violation on Sunday afternoon in Monroe County when the driver of the SUV sped off. Police decided to follow the SUV determining that the SUV must have been stolen.

The SUV was involved in two other minor accidents before hitting the utility truck belonging to the City of Rochester.

The man and the woman were taken into custody by police after the both of them had tried to escape on foot. Both the man and the woman sustained minor injuries.

The people in the city truck were hospitalized with minor injuries.
