Two people were killed in an accident that happened in Suwannee County.

Details about the Fatal Accident in Suwannee County

WCTV News is reporting that two people were killed in an accident and another was seriously injured after a three-vehicle crash in Suwannee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

That accident reportedly happened about halfway between Live Oak and Branford, at about noon on Thursday. Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol have indicated that a 19-year-old man from St. Johns and a 20-year-old woman from Fort Meyers were killed when they Volvo was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler in the southbound lane of SR 247.

The impact from the big rig sent the Volvo into oncoming traffic in the opposite lane, where they were hit by a Chevrolet Silverado, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of the Chevrolet was not seriously injured in the accident.

The driver of the semi-truck was also not seriously injured. Charges are pending at this time.
