Suzuki Recalls Cars Due to Headlights Problem

Bedram Bararpour4 years ago

Suzuki is recalling about 101,688 model years 2004 to 2006 Forenza and model years 2005 to 2006 Reno cars due to problems with the headlights. The cars were manufactured from September 23, 2003 through March 7, 2006.

About the Forenza and Reno Recall

According to Suzuki, a wiring problem is the reason for the recall. The terminals of certain wires have poor contact, leading to increased resistance. This can generate heat and melt the splice pack, causing the low/high beam headlamp to not work properly, if at all.

If headlamps are not working properly, the risk of a crash will increase since driver visibility will be lowered.

Suzuki Offers Free Repair

Suzuki will inform owners of the recall, and Suzuki dealers will fix the problem for free. The recall is projected to begin during September 2012.
