A teenager was hit and killed by a vehicle in Indiana on Saturday morning.

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

The Indiana Gazette is reporting that a Homer-Center High School student was killed by a vehicle that ran off the road and collided with him as he was walking along a rural road in Pine Township early Saturday.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the man is suspected of driving under the influence, according to both the coroner’s office and state police. Kai Paul Hrabovsky, a 16-year-old sophomore was pronounced dead at 4:53 a.m. near the scene of the accident that happened along Mount Zion Road.

State police have indicated that a Jeep Wrangler that was being driven by a 20-year-old man was heading south when the man veered off the road on a curve and hit the victim in a grassy area. Troopers have indicated that Hrabovsky was leaving an after-prom party in the woods nearby.

The driver of the Jeep initially fled the scene of the scene of the accident but has since been cooperative with investigators.
