Teenager Killed in New York Pedestrian Accident

On Saturday, a 13-year-old girl was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Levittown, New York.

About the Pedestrian Accident in New York

New York police are looking for a driver who was involved in a fatal pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a 13-year-old girl.

According to a CBS affiliate, Brianna Soplin was crossing the Hempstead Turnpike at Gardiners Avenue in Levittown on Saturday evening when she was struck by a van. She was found with broken arms, broken legs, broken pelvis, and deprived of oxygen.

Less than five hours after the accident, Soblin was pronounced dead.

Soplin, who had Down syndrome, had left her family’s home shortly before the accident. Her parents were unaware that she was missing until later that night.

The police is still looking for the driver. The vehicle is described as a 2011-2013 blue Town country minivan. The family of the victim is offering a reward for information provided.
