Jonathan Hernandez8 months ago

A teenage driver was killed in an accident while fleeing from police.

Details about the Fatal Accident Involving the Teenager

KSAT 12 News is reporting that a teenage driver who led sheriff’s deputies from Bexar County on a 22-minute chase after fleeing from a traffic stop on Wednesday morning died after crashing the vehicle on the northeast side of the city.

The driver, who is still unidentified, lost control of the vehicle after running into heavy traffic on O’Connor Road near Nacogdoches Road, according to a spokesman from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. Two of the three teenage passengers in the vehicle – including a pregnant teenager – were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

One of the male passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident was not taken to the hospital.

At this time, it is not clear what caused the accident or why the driver was fleeing from police in the first place. The chase started when the truck was pulled over for speeding and then sped off as the officer was exiting the patrol car.

After the accident, a helicopter was called in to take the driver to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, it is unclear whether or not any of the passengers in the vehicle will face any charges.
